Besides performing solo, Jayanthi has worked with various musicians to explore new vistas. One of her earliest collaborations was “Veena – Venu – Violin”, a confluence of the veena, Violin and flute with Lalgudi Vijayalakshmi and Sikkil Mala Chandrashekhar. She has performed many Jagalbandhis with Purbayan Chatterjee(Sitar), Gaurav Mazumdar(Sitar), Ronu Majumdar(Bansuri), Sangeetha Shankar(Violin) and the like.

She has performed with Violin Maestros Ganesh and Kumaresh (her renowned husband) in a confluence of strings.

She is the Managing Director of a Bangalore Based Music company called HOME RECORDS that endeavours to encourage and spread Ecological awareness through expressions of experiments in interpretations of the dynamic aspects of Indian music and its related performing arts. She is a member of the Shastriya Syndicate, an association that encompasses the most successful young musicians in India from various musical traditions. Jayanthi has arranged and composed music for Mr. Gottleib Guntern, a poet and composer based in Switzerland. She has also performed with Sri. Kumaresh
